I bought this board game this weekend. The reviews on it were mixed, however, most agreed that it was fun if not a little to based on luck. The company that makes it is Red Juggernaut.
Opening the box you can see there is a lot of quality to the pieces and the packaging. While they didn't use plastic, the cardboard separators were all heavy duty. So often, I get a board game that is flimsy cardboard or plastic and the pieces all end up everywhere or the top caves in.
The rule book was small, simple to read, had highlights, and covered questions I had or think I will have. It's not a heavy strategy/tactics game by my cursory read of the rules. It might have as much as say Risk, or as little as Conquest of the Empire (an old (Mattel)? game that came out with Axis and Allies, Broadsides and Boarding Parties, etc.) Overall, it looks like it will be a lot of fun.
